How to Trust and the Importance of Trusting
When you love someone you trust them, there isn't another way. You give them the keys to everything that's yours, otherwise what is the point? This can easily sum up peoples lives of a lifetime of dating and relationships and for the very essence of any relationship it is simply trust. It's a word that we really mention regularly and quite often without really thinking about what it really means. Well, we do know to an extent but never do we talk about it for its importance. Trust is when we rely on the truth about our situation, what we are told and what we are led to believe. We give it and we take trust at face value, we believe that in the person we are dating. We trust in the person we love and we do not question it. Trust should be something unspoken, something that is not denied, making it a part of everything we place our faith in. Whenever one talks about 'head-games' they are often speaking about trust and or lack of it.
The foundation of our dating experiences is trust. The reason is because we want to be able to rely on someone and be relied on. It's an experience based off faith of both parties to have a support system that has undeniable truth at its core. We always attempt to establish trust in the first few hours of our first date with someone we really like, we ask them questions and receive answers and we trust that they tell us the basic truth to their answers.
People often say that trust comes in time and that there will be no true love until trust is created, the issue we have with that is that it inherently lacks of faith. When a person says the would like to build up a level of trust they actually mean that their trust in someone previously had badly damaged and that they are cautious and have barriers up now that need to be removed over time. And this is way beyond understandable nowadays. But you need to remember that by not trusting in the beginning you are denying the possibilities of any truth at the early stages of being together. You will be skeptical and unforgiving to avoid being hurt yourself. Do you believe in love at first sight? Well do you believe it then requires months of trust building after wards? No. Caution, although it is a valuable asset to have when dating as well being careful with whats being led to believe, but its only good up to a point. If you are not believed that takes away any romance of an occasion. Love it is usually about spontaneity and risk. And to this extent we usually find that powerful kind of emotional love when we are younger, but as time goes on we learn to trust people less and less to do our history of deceit and being lied to, as well as your own cases of lying. It's said that we get harder as we get older, more thick skinned, and that is truly a shame. How can we ever hope to get back that level of innocent and powerful love and romance we possibly experienced when we were younger, such as maybe 18 years old?
Reread my beginning line and think about it. Truly think about it. Then ask yourself how open are you REALLY? How open are you to new people? Situations? Emotions? Have you reached a point where you can't possibly go back and start trusting immediately? Or do you that with the right person you can just throw all your caution in the garbage? By analyzing yourself this way you can really get an idea of how a future relationship may turn out and develop. If a previous relationship was abusive then trust will take time to build back up of course, but at the same time you can always be cautious and semi-open. And in order to do this you must make sure you date wisely and you must make sure you pick your potential partners carefully as well. You must plan your dating carefully in this way.
In order to find a future relationship that has romance and passion in it you really do need to open up your heart and you really do need to find a level of trust in someone rather early on that will allow your possible partner to feel that sense of romance and passion as well. A person who constantly feels that they have to prove themselves will quickly get tired if they are genuine, and they will ultimately move on with their life. No one wants to be seen as untrustworthy so keep that in mind at all times. It's important.
Just keep some other things in mind, for example the specifics of trust are not written in stone. There are a very few amount of people in this world who hasn't told a little white lie once in awhile. As we know dating can be a powerful and emotional experience and some people just want to make a good impression on the one they like, so therefore on any of the first few dates you should expect at least some minor details that may be a little exaggerated, chances are you may have as well! But this does NOT mean that this person you are dating is some bad person. But, it's really up to you if you want to satisfy yourself and get the truth one way or another. But where you do need to be cautious is when you are kept in the dark about key details of the person you are dating. If your date can't answer questions such as his or her career, the area they live in, their friends and family and so on then you have reasons to be suspicious. If the person is truly open and honest they will be able to talk for hours about practically anything that comes up. If the person is evasive you should treat it with caution.
