Demi Moore Hospitalized for Substance Abuse
It's been a difficult time in her life after having recently split from husband Ashton Kutcher, and now it's being reported that Demi Moore has been rushed to the hospital. According to TMZ, the "Ghost" actress was picked up by paramedics on Monday night (January 23) at 10:45 p.m. following a call to 9-1-1.

Poor Demi! When you are blown off at the age of 20 - this is a tragedy, but if you are over 40 - this is much worse. Hope there is nithing grave and she'll recover soon! I wish her all the best.
I hate this heartless guy, while she was waiting him to celebrate their anniversary he was having fun in a company of half-naked sluts! Do you see Ashton what you have done to the women you loved??? Shame on you! Hope Demi won't stay in dispair for a long time.

raymond, you have to admit they don't specify what "substance" she was abusing. A number of Americans (non-celebrities included) have become addicted to prescriptions legitimately prescribed by their doctors, especially pain-killers.
steve, this is so true....keep in mind ....It has nothing to do with who you are...Addiction is a disease that kills a lot of people...It doesn't matter who you are...Young, Old ,Rich, Poor...Parents are burying their children everyday from this disease....This is no joke...People take their lives in sobriety too...because their internal pain is so intense....No one chooses to be an addict!!! It is a very sad, destructive, deadly disease....

despite her weatlth status hes a human being, she could be your sister, mother, cousin, etc, etc.. instead of being snide and negative, try sending a prayer to another human being.OBVI shes going thru a rough time in her life. My prayers and well wishes are with her and her well being, relatiosnships can be very tough to get over most people know that. cut her some slack.. God BLESS WE LOVE YOU!
so someone is trying reeeeal hard to contect the dots for her excusing and "explaining" a sudden addiction ever sinec her and whatshisface split up in November. Being an addict for 20+ years , I can help the Post here by saying.....nice try but no cigar. If she has and addiction, it was probably there before November. Hope she sets her mind to do this.
This is sad, I hope she gets better. Its so interesting when a celebrity is facing life's little let downs, everyone blames the problem. Divorce, stress and age differences don't have a thing to do with it. Personal choice is what it is. If every person stressed by bad relationships started using drugs and alcohol to solve the problem this world would be truly in the gutter.
So...maybe she just fell in love n got married, like people do, and now that the person she loves cheated n humiliated n left her...she is brokenhearted. They appeared fabulously happy for many years. Maybe, like any human still able to feel emotion, she is hurting. She took a chance on love. Ya...it looked very problematic from a distance...but it probably felt great at the time.
its not always substance abuse. my husband left me and i lost 20lbs in 2 wks. i had to take care of a 2 yr old while he stayed with friends and was able to deal a little better. divorce is just as bad a dealing with a death!! the pressure does build and i would def say she is having a nervous breakdown. she obviously loves the man very much. tho she picked her profession and knew what it involved media and paparazzi wise it just stinks that she cant go thru her personal life without scrutiny. i hope she feels better and someone should give ashton the shallow jerk that he is a kick in the ass! karma will visit him soon enuf
yeah, its stress...ok...most people don't go to rehab for 'stress'..she's probably always been on drugs..anyway, what did she really expect..there was the age difference, her ex always up their ass, like it was a 3 way marriage, he had stop daughters almost his age, and there is the fact that she is a self absorbed bitch who's career never quite panned out like she hoped..not to mention its was a hollywood marriage..need I say more ? and the person that said ashton needs to get back and be by her side..well, she filed for divorce from him, so his commitment is over as far as I see it..
we all love you sweetie and want the best for you, but you strike me as tremendously naive. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you can convince me that there were "no signs." There's A LOT there, friend, and you clearly have not scratched the surface. Your husband sounds like an idiot for sure, but I am not sure you have much insight either. This is what RadicalRat was hinting at, more tactfully than me of course.
