Dating Foreign Women
Dating a foreign woman can be an exciting experience and different than what you are used to. There are differences in habits, cultural expectations, and tastes that can spice up your dating life. The many differences between cultures, however, can also cause at times some awkwardness and even tension. Here are a few tips to be aware of if you are going out to date with a woman from a foreign country.
Find a foreign date in the right environment. There are many dating agencies that even specialize in a certain ethnicity or nationality all over the Internet. Do a Web search and you might even be able to find some social events. If the Internet isn’t your thing, you might be better off finding some cultural events in your town or county and check them out.
Speak in the language of love, meaning use eye contact. Love is best spoken through our eyes, no matter what language barriers exist. If you use your eyes when communicating with her you will seem confident and interested in her without having to speak her native language.
Keep conversations balance between culture and personal talks. You don’t want to change the date into a cultural exchange program but on the other hand you don’t want to seem ignorant. Conversations will naturally be about the differences and similarities between your cultures, but try to also ask personal questions and talk to her about her likes and dislikes.
Have an open mind and be a bit liberal. Remember, you are also a foreigner in her eyes, so if you haven’t brushed up on her cultural etiquette before hand, then try to have an open mind when she gives you four cheek kisses when you first meet. You don’t want to come off as ignorant and wind up in a culture shock. However, the best way to cover up any awkward or tense moments is to just admit that it was a cultural misunderstanding.
My mom is playing match maker and going to introduce a girl to me next month. The girl lives in another country which I will be visiting. I do not know much about the culture or life style. I do not speak the native language very well either. How should I approach her and at least start/keep a conversation going? Language is obviously an obstacle here.
I don't really think that this is *romantic* matchmaking, but more like being introduced to a penpal. I know that it's nice to meet up with people when you travel so you aren't all by yourself. Unless Mommy Dearest has been all "I want 3 grandchildren, 2 boys and a girl, you two will makes *such* pretty babies together!"
...your mom is hooking you up with a chick that you might not be able to communicate with? :shakes head: Outside of that-- foreign countries are often generally better at speaking English than the US or Britain (that's an exaggeration and a generalization, but yeah... chances are nad she might have had to learn a bit of English in school).
have to be honest but this sounds a little desperate , geting hooked up by mother to some girl in a foreign country . especially when you don't even know the girl at all by sound of things. have you tried any dating sites or local singles events or bars . or in general other places where you might meet someone local ?
Well, I think that will be good for you then. It's not like you can sit around all day with Mom, having people your own age to do things with will be fun. Hopefully this girl will introduce you to her friends and then you'll have more people to practice speaking with.
However, culture makes a huge impact on one's beliefs, on what is considered ethically correct etc etc. So in general American girls do seem to be more bitchy, and more likely to cut you off than foreign girls, greek for that matter. But then again, American girls are used to guys that open them all the time so they need to raise these bitch-shields, girls in Eastern Europe are more open because they do not have many guys open them. It's like there is a little Real competition down here!
Western woman are more masculine then their foreign counterparts. Blame it on our culture. They have entitlement issues, and they all believe that fairy tale about there being a perfect man for them. Plus they are the product of our media and laws that have stripped away most of the rights from men. Don't believe me? Look at child custody laws, rape laws, and the results of most divorces.
When I tried to find any women in Skype to practic in english 100% of them was with prostitutes advertisements. Western men! my great condolence to you! Your women love you only for money. When I commuticate with auditors of russian language there wasn't any prostitutes advertisements. It's profession not became so mass in our country.

I believe that the most important thing is the personality,yes all people are different with they own culture level ,goals,admiration etc.There are a lot of differences between persons who came from another countries also as there are a lot of differences among people who living in another family.It is impossible compare everyone who lives in US,UK,Western Europe or Eastern Europe.I can judge from my personal expierence becouse my boyfriend is from UK but i'm from Eastern Europe.Yes of course we had some problems in understanding each other when i could speak any English one year ago and still my lenguage wish to be much better but it's not a point,the most important that we are both trying to overcome all existing difficulties ,i do all my best studing English and he gives me his support and understanding.Of course it would be more convenient to find someone local to date with BUT i want to say only one truth that real feelings are removing all cultural differences ,misunderstanding, borders and everything another on the way to each other
Choose a method that best suits your personality. For instance, if you do better in person, attend cultural events that foreign women are likely to attend. On the other hand, if you're a better typer than talker, go to online dating or social networking websites to meet foreign women to date.
Foreign women often posses many qualities that many men find lacking in their local dating pool. the foreign women of Eastern Europe, Latin America and South East Asia are more often then not, classy, cultured, hold traditional values, hardworking, caring, appreciative, understanding, feminine, not so materialistic, know how to cook delicious meals for their families and their men, and not mention that they take care of themselves, are very sexy, and great in bed.
Since I’ve been traveling overseas I have met many nice Japanese, Russian, and Spanish women. I can tell you this….the women are so much better. I want a lady that, when I get home from work, would rather kiss me than scream at me for some trivial reason like I didn’t mow the lawn. I can do without the nagging thanks. To all my fellow American men… American women are easily replaceable…go Asian, or Russian, even European (except British, Italian, and French women) and you can’t go wrong. Experience is the best teacher.
I can not date white American women anymore. I was in the navy and I have seen the light. Women from other countries just look better and treat you better too! I didn’t pay for shit when I was overseas and I pay up the wazoo here. Any rational person can figure it out from here.
American women are high-maintenance primadonnas with attitudes. I’d take a foreign born Russian or Latina woman any day. They are much nicer and normally MUCH SMARTER than most American women – plus they don’t watch Rosie and Ricci Lake – they go to the library or perform outside activities.
Its a fact that Some of the most beautiful, feminine, friendly, and caring foreign women are located in the regions of Latin America, Eastern Europe, and South East Asia. Particularly countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Venezuela, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Over the years, through traveling and interaction with foreign women I’ve realized that there are many differences in the way they act, think, and carry themselves. Foreign women aren’t as guarded, they’re more friendly for the most part, are more prone to be family oriented.
Foreign women tend to have more traditional, old fashioned values. The type of values that many American women had back in the early and mid 1900’s. In many ways, these old fashioned values have been lost with American women. Much of this is due to the women’s liberation movement. Although this movement brought about many positive changes for women, it also sacrificed many of the old fashioned, family oriented, values and placed women’s primary focus not on the family, but on their career. Foreign women tend to put their family first, before anything else, even their careers. In a sense many of these foreign women are not unlike the grand mothers and great grand mothers of the current generation of American women.
Foreign women tend to stay in shape much more then American women. There is no doubt that the wealthiest countries are suffering from an obesity epidemic. Many studies have shown that women more prone to gain weight then men. In the United States for example, women are more more prone to be obese even at young ages. This is not only a health issue, but it robes these women of their feminine curves. Foreign women don’t have this problem. They maintain their feminine curves even into their 30’s and 40’s.
Foreign women treat men better then American women. One small example is the fact that many foreign women love to cook for their man. It’s not uncommon to find women that love to cook not only for their partner, but for their entire family. Foreign women don’t see these types of acts as burdens, or forms of submissiveness.
Foreign women are less materialistic. Foreign women who have grown up in less developed countries not fallen prey to the consumer-driven mindset many American women (and men) have been indoctrinated into. They’ve learned to get by on much less.
Foreign women love North American, and Western European men. American men treat foreign women better then their local men. Many of these foreign women have to deal with men who don’t appreciate them, cheat on them, and an environment that favors men in many ways.
I agree with you man! American men are a much welcomed change for foreign women, because they treat them better on many levels. It this sense it’s a match made in heaven because both parties treat each other better then what they are accustomed to.
If only I would’ve known that Women who look good really do exist in the real world. The only place I see Quality Women here in America is in magazines…
The girls from the regions you mentioned are really nice and fit better in the female role than our American girls. This is why men feel more attracted to them than to the typical Western gal. Unfortunately the cute and nice lady from out there will soon pick up the lesson of our society and will become an American gal speaking with foreign accent, reflecting our strong feminist culture. If you want to keep her the way she is, move “out there”, or settle down for an feminit, American gal…
So true! Women here are all getting attitudes and expect the world to revolve around them. I would like a relationship where I can recieve similar treatment to what I give, not a one sided money dumping that gets you sex once in awhile
As an American, I’ve had experience with foreign women from Asia. I agree, they are friendlier, more educated & less bitchy. Here in the USA I have been through so much drama & unnecessary B.S. It’s like they’re so whinny, manipulative & when the money runs out they leave. I’m sticking to foreign women. They will be a better choice for a wife & being the future mother of my children.
Really? I think that the nationality has no impact on female beauty - there are both attractive and not very attractive women in every country. But tates differ actually. Why do you find Italian women most attractive?:)
hmmm, as I already said - tastes differ, as for me - there is no difference were you are from. There are tons of beautiful people all over the world. By the way all Italian women I've seen weren't so beautiful or even pretty ;)
